Jared DuBach 9/3/2010 ELKO — The Nevada Highway Patrol recovered 12 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop Wednesday on Interstate 80 near Elko. NHP trooper Jim Stewart said a trooper stopped a vehicle and suspected criminal activity during his contact with the driver, Denver Scott Wayne, 28, and passenger Daniel Ray Vialpando, 28, both of Montrose, Colo.
